Caratene (“We”, “Our”, and “Us”) recognises the importance of maintaining your privacy. We value your privacy and appreciate your trust in us.

This Policy describes how we treat user information we collect on our mobile application (’Platform’). This Privacy Policy applies to current and former visitors to our mobile application and to our online customers.

By visiting and/or using our mobile application, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

  1. Information we collect

    1.1 Contact information. Information including, but not limited to, User name, address, phone number, fax
    number, email address, gender, date and/or year of birth and other business information which may also
    include business statutory details and tax registration numbers may be collected at the time of User registration
    on the Platform.

    1.2 Payment and billing information. In connection with any communication or transaction and payment services
    or any other services that you may avail using the Platform, information, including but not limited to, bank
    account numbers, billing and delivery information, credit/debit card numbers and expiration dates and tracking
    information from cheques or money orders (“Account Information”) may be collected, among other things, to
    facilitate the sale and purchase as well as the settlement of purchase price of the products or services
    transacted on or procured through the Platform.

    1.3 Information you post. Information relating to communication or transactions including, but not limited to, the
    types and specifications of the goods, pricing and delivery information, any dispute records and any information
    disclosed in any communication forum provided by us may be collected as and when the communication and /
    or transactions are conducted through the Platform.

    1.4 Other information. If you use our Platform, we may collect information about your IP address and the browser
    you’re using. We might look at what site you came from, duration of time spent on our website, pages accessed
    or what site you visit when you leave us. We might also collect the type of mobile device you are using, or the
    version of the operating system your computer or device is running.
    You may also choose simply not to provide your personal contact information at the point of collection;
    however, you will not be able to purchase products through the Platform. We retain user provided Information
    for as long as the Information is required for the purpose of providing services to you or where the same is
    required for any purpose for which the Information can be lawfully processed or retained as required under any
    statutory enactments or applicable laws.
  2. Use of your personal information

    2.1 We use information to verify, register and contact you: We might use the information you provide for
    verification of your identity, eligibility, registration and to contact you for confirmation of a purchase on our
    Platform or for other promotional purposes.

    2.2 We use information to respond to your requests or questions. We might use your information to confirm your
    registration, respond to User(s) queries, feedback, claims or disputes and provide customer service.

    2.3 We use information to improve our products and services. We might use your information to customize your
    experience with us. This could include displaying content based upon your preferences, to improve the content
    and layout of the Platform, to improve our product offerings and services.

    2.4 We use information for security purposes. We may use information to protect our company, our customers, or
    our Platform, making such disclosures as may be required for any of the above purposes or as required by law,
    regulations and guidelines or in respect of any investigations, claims or potential claims brought on or against us
    or against third parties.

    2.5 We use information for marketing purposes. We might send you information about special promotions or offers.
    We might also tell you about new features or products. These might be our own offers or products, or thirdparty offers or products we think you might find interesting.

    2.6 We use information to send you transactional communications. We might send you emails or SMS about your
    account or a purchase. We might also send you notice surveys, product alerts, communications and other marketing materials relating to products and services offered by us. We use information as otherwise permitted by law. Please get in touch with us in case you would like to object to any purpose of data processing. However, please note that if you object or withdraw consent to process data as above, we may discontinue providing you with services through our Platform.
  3. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION

    3.1 We will share information with third parties who perform services (including but not limited to data entry,
    database management, promotions, products and services alerts, delivery services, payment extension
    services, authentication and verification services and logistics services) (“Service Providers”) on our behalf. We
    share information with Service Providers who help us manage our online registration process or payment
    processors or transactional message processors. Some Service Providers may be located outside of India. These
    Service Providers are under a duty of confidentiality to us and are only permitted to use Users Personal Data in
    connection with the purposes specified in clause 2 herein above. Any Personal Data supplied by User will be
    retained by CARATENE and will be accessible by our employees, any Service Providers engaged by CARATENE
    and third parties referred to in clause 3 herein, for or in relation to any of the purposes stated in Clause 2
    herein above.
    3.2 We may share User’s Personal Data with third parties, including without limitation, banks, financial institutions,
    credit agencies, or Service Providers to enable such third parties to offer their products or services to such Users. While ARATENE shall endeavour to have in place internal procedures to keep User’s Personal Data secured from intruders, there is no guarantee that such measures/procedures can eliminate all the risks of theft, loss or misuse.

    3.3 We may share information if we think we must in order to comply with the law or to protect ourselves. We will
    share information to respond to a court order. We may also share with our professional advisers, law enforcement agencies, insurers, government and regulatory and other organizations. We may also share it if a government agency or investigatory body requests. Or, we might also share information when we are
    investigating potential fraud.

    3.4 We may share information with any successor to all or part of our business. For example, if part of our business is sold we may give our customer list as part of that transaction.
  4. Cookies

    Cookies are very tiny text files that are stored on your computer when you visit certain web pages that record your preferences. We use cookies to identify User and enable CARATENE to i) access User’s Registration Information or Account Information so User do not have to re-enter it; ii) gather statistical information about usage by Users; iii) research visiting patterns and help target advertisements based on User interests; iv) assist CARATENE’S partners to track User visits to the Platform and process orders; and v) track progress and participation on the Platform; vi) provide you with the best level of service by keeping track of what you have in your shopping cart; vii) show you advertisements which are relevant to your interests. Cookies cannot harm User’s computer and they do not contain any personal or private information. User must accept cookies to shop through the Platform. User can erase or block cookies from
    his/her device if he/she wants to; however, User may be required to re-enter information on the Platform more often
    and certain features of the Platform may be unavailable.
  5. Security Precautions
    We treat data as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ many different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access by members inside and outside the Company. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us and information that we have accessed.
  6. Updates to this policy
    Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of
    your information and will always be at the Platform.
